Section of A720 Edinburgh City Bypass closed for more than five hours due to jackknifed lorry
The jackknifed lorry forced a closure at the A720 eastbound between Straiton and Lasswade, Traffic Scotland reported at around 10am, March 27.
Police Scotland and The Trunk Road Incident Support Service (TRISS) were in attendance with traffic being taken off at Lasswade junction.

Hide AdDelays extended to 25 minutes at certain points today, according to Traffic Scotland.
However, the incident was cleared at around 3pm today with all lanes now running on the A720.
Traffic still remains heavy in the area with delays of around 15 minutes
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.40am on Saturday, 27 March, we received a report of a lorry jackknifed and blocking both lanes eastbound on the A720 between Gilmerton and Straiton.
“Local diversions are in place and uplift of the vehicle has been arranged.”
Traffic Scotland is urging people to take care and drive safely.
