Search fails to find missing yachtsman

THE search for a missing yachtsman whose unmanned boat was found off the west coast of Scotland was suspended late last night.

It is believed that the man had gone overboard off the Isle of Arran some time yesterday.

The man was last seen in Lochranza at the north end of the island around lunchtime.
