ScotRail video to show driver's view of scenic West Highland Line and Glenfinnan Viaduct
The rail carrier is currently teasing one of the country’s most famous routes – known globally from numerous films and TV shows – with footage of a train crossing the Glenfinnan viaduct.
The YouTube clip is a small excerpt from some upcoming West Highland Line footage, the latest in a series of videos which have been offering a tour of Scotland’s best-known toutes.

Hide AdThe clip shows the train approach the viaduct from Locheilside, crossing over, and then arriving into Glenfinnan station.
It will be one of a number of routes which will bring the tranquility of the Scottish scenery to people in lockdown all over the world.
The Glenfinnan Viaduct has been featured on the big and small screen on countless occasions, most notably in the Harry Potter film series.
So far, over 13 hours of original content has been created by ScotRail’s social media team.

Hide AdScotRail hopes it will keep people entertained when they can’t enjoy days out on the railway.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: “These videos are a brilliant way of getting around Scotland by train even if you’re not actually on the train.
“They show off the country and its scenery and we hope they are helping to brighten up the day for people during these very difficult times.
“The comments about them have been incredibly positive and we are committed to putting more videos like this on our YouTube channel over the coming weeks and months.”
