ScotRail and Virgin ‘trusted’ by passengers
ScotRail, Virgin and East Coast were rated better than most for a good service and having a good relationship with passengers and a positive reputation.
ScotRail was one of only three of 21 operators to get a positive score for punctuality/reliability, value for money, problem resolution and staff helpfulness, just ahead of Virgin and East Coast.

Hide AdVirgin was second for passenger relationships, with ScotRail fifth and East Coast seventh. Virgin topped the reputation scores, with East Coast sixth and ScotRail eighth.
A ScotRail spokeswoman said: “We are encouraged, but not complacent, that customers are recognising our efforts to improve, particularly in terms of acting with integrity and communicating well.”
