Ryanair adds four new routes to its Prestwick package

Four new destinations have been added to budget airline Ryanair’s flights from Scotland.

The carrier will fly from Prestwick to Barcelona, Bydgoszcz in Poland, Chania in Crete and Corfu, Greece, from April next year, in addition to the 25 routes it had this summer. Seats go on sale today.

The airline said the new routes would help bring around 1.3 million people to Prestwick and support 1,300 jobs. The airport’s chief commercial officer, Graeme Sweenie, said: “This is great news for the airport and our summer flight season.”
