Rail punctuality up on last year

Scotrail has improved train punctuality in the first part of this winter, despite recent gale force winds and bad weather.

Network Rail figures revealed that only 84.8 per cent of the company’s trains ran on time from 13 November to 10 December this year.

This was an improvement on the same period last year when only 72.1 per cent of ScotRail trains ran on time.
