Queensferry Crossing: One dead, one injured in construction incident

A WORKMAN has died in an incident at the Queensferry Crossing construction site this morning - with another man left injured.

It is believed the fatal accident occurred just before 12pm at the new bridge’s north tower.

Transport chiefs confirmed there had been one fatality, with another workman rushed to hospital. It is not thought the second man’s injuries are life-threatening.

The details of the accident are not yet known.

Police said they were attending an “ongoing incident” at the site.
