Police name boy, 9, who died in collision in Airth

POLICE have named the boy who died following a road traffic collision in Airth as Ethan Ritchie.

The nine-year-old was on his bicycle when he was involved in a collision with a van on Kennedy Way around 7.15pm on Friday 20 May.

He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he sadly died a short time later.

Ethan’s family have described him as a “happy-go-lucky boy”, and have asked for privacy.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact PC Mark Grant at the Road Policing Unit, Stirling via 101.
