Pedestrian dies after being knocked down

A WOMAN has died after being knocked down on a dual carriageway.

The 33-year-old was hit on the southbound carriageway of the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road near Nigg Way, Aberdeen, at around 7.10pm last night and died at the scene.

The driver and passengers within the vehicle were uninjured.

The road was closed for six hours while investigations were carried out.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and also to anyone who may have seen the female pedestrian prior to the collision to contact them on 101.
