Pedestrian ‘critical’ after crossing A8 in Glasgow

A man was critically injured when he was knocked down as he crossed a busy route.

The collision happened on the A8 in Glasgow yesterday.

The pedestrian was struck by a Honda CRV on Edinburgh Road, adjacent to Gantock Crescent.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where hospital staff describe his condition as critical.

Police have appealed for witnesses following the incident at around 2.25pm.
