Part of A9 closed in both directions following two-lorry crash

Two lorries have crashed on a main Scottish road causing disruption to traffic.

The A9 near Mybster, Caithness, has had to close in both directions.

Police said the road will be blocked for most of the day while services work on recovering the two large vehicles.

No serious injuries have been reported.

A police spokesman said: “We were called just after 1pm today to a crash involving two lorries.

“Scottish Ambulance were in attendance by there are not thought to be any serious injuries.

“The A9 is closed in both directions, south of Mybster near Halsary Windfarm.

“It is likely to be blocked for some time due to the necessity of recovering two large vehicles. Please take care.”
