OAP dies after being hit by car in Perthshire

A 70-year-old man has died after being hit by a car, police said.

The collision happened at around midnight on Saturday on Kirkmichael Road in Pitlochry, Perthshire.

Emergency services were called to the area but the pedestrian died at the scene.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court tomorrow.
