No further flights from Scottish airports as more snow approaches
Aberdeen Airport was also forced to close earlier this morning. While Aberdeen managed to reopen at 7:30am this morning,
Glasgow Airport closed at 6:30am this morning following ‘the worst snow fall’ over the airport since 2010.

Hide AdDue to continued severe weather conditions and the large number of flights which airlines have had to cancel, there will be no further flights to or from Glasgow Airport for the remainder of the day.
Further heavy snowfall is forecast and we will provide updates regarding tomorrow’s scheduled services later this evening.
Passengers are urged not to travel to the airport and anyone with travel plans should contact their airline directly for specific flight information.
There were 403 cancellations by 6pm – 190 arrivals and 213 departures.

Hide AdTransport Minister Humza Yousaf said amber alerts for snow and freezing winds from the early hours of Wednesday could be changed to red for extreme weather in certain areas, with motorists urged not to travel.
Police Scotland has urged motorists in affected areas not to travel by road, however other transport services are likely to be impacted.
Edinburgh Airport was open this morning with the runway being kept clear of snow.
However, two flights were diverted last night - a Ryanair aircraft went to Prestwick and a British Airways service was switched to Glasgow.
