Nine injured after bus and tractor collide

NINE people were taken to hospital following a crash involving a bus and a tractor yesterday.

A total of 13 passengers were on the bus when the collision happened at about 10:15am on the A935 near Brechin Castle Garden Centre in Angus.

Six people were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and another three went to Brechin Infirmary, the Scottish Ambulance Service said.

Meanwhile, a woman involved in a one-vehicle crash near Fraserburgh, in Aberdeenshire, was in a critical condition in hospital yesterday.

She was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency services were also at a three-vehicle crash on the A862 near Inverness, involving a car, a lorry and a small van.

A woman driving the car was seriously injured and had to be cut free by firefighters.
