A new lifeboat is to be named after the tea cake producers Tunnocks.

Boyd Tunnock gave £250,000 to a campaign to operate an independent lifeboat for the village of St Abbs in the Borders.

The boat will be named after Mr Tunnock’s grandfather and late brother Thomas Tunnock at a ceremony next month.
