Motorway accident: Section of M876 closed after vehicle overturns near Larbert

Part of the M876 has been shut due to an accident

The motorway has been closed northbound between junctions 1 and 2 since mid-afternoon after a vehicle, which is thought to be a Land Rover, overturned.

It is not yet known if there were any injuries, however, emergency services remain at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police were called to an accident just north of Junction 1 at around 2.55pm following a report that a vehicle had overturned near Larbert.

“The emergency services are still in attendance and the road is closed.”
