Motorists urged to 'travel to conditions' as Scotland hit by snow

A yellow weather warning remains in place.

Drivers were urged to take care on Scotland’s roads this morning as a Met Office yellow weather warning for snow, ice and wind remains in place.

Heavy snow has been seen in many parts of the country overnight, particularly in the Borders.

Motorists travelling on the M8, M80, A68 and A702 this morning were urged to travel with caution as snow continued to fall.

Conditions are expected to ease later today with the warning lifted by Friday.
