Motorcyclist dies after Stirling road sign crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has died after crashing into a sign on a roundabout.

The 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries in the collision on Muirton Road, in Springkerse retail park in Stirling, at around 10.30pm on Monday.

He was taken to Glasgow Southern General Hospital where he later died.

Police said the Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a fixed sign. The road was closed for about six hours while officers investigated.

Sergeant Roddy MacMillan said: “We are still looking to establish the full circumstances of this collision and would ask that any motorists who were on the road at the time, and who witnessed the incident, contact police immediately.

“Similarly, anyone with any further information relevant to our inquiry should also get in touch.”
