Motherwell stars’ bus comes unstuck

MOTHERWELL footballers hit a bit of a bump on the way home from Easter Road after their match against Hibernian yesterday.

Police were called when the team bus got stuck under the rail bridge over New Street in Edinburgh just after 4pm.

The team’s Estonian striker, Henrik Ojamaa, posted a picture of the incident on Twitter, joking: “Busdriver performing as well as me today #unlucky”.

British Transport Police confirmed that they attended, along with officers from Lothian and Borders Police, but there were no injuries and minimal damage to the bus. The bridge was also checked..

A Motherwell spokesman said: “No-one was hurt and the players were either picked up by another bus or just got on the train home.

“It was just a wee mishap.”
