Man seriously injured after road rage attack

A man has been left with a serious facial injury after being repeatedly punched in a road-rage attack by another driver.

The 20-year-old was driving his small silver car on Tippethill Road in Armadale, West Lothian, when a larger black car stopped directly in front of him.

The driver got out of the vehicle and assaulted the man by punching him several times to the face before driving off at about 7.30pm on Wednesday.

Detective Constable Dougie Gilmour said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area or witnessed this incident.

“As a result of the attack, the man sustained a serious facial injury and has been left badly shaken by the incident.

“This has been a terrible experience for him and we are appealing to members of the public for any information they may have as to who might have been responsible.”
