Man killed in Bonnybridge crash named

A YOUNG man who died in a car crash near Bonnybridge power station has been named by police as 20-year-old Mark McMillan.

Mark McMillan, 20, was killed in an accident on the A803 Edinburgh to Glasgow Road at 1.35pm yesterday.

Mr McMillan, from Falkirk, was a passenger in a Renault Clio which was travelling east when it was involved in a collision with a Nissan Pixo travelling in the opposite direction.

The 20-year-old male driver of the Clio was taken to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow and another 18-year-old male passenger was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, both with serious injuries.

The 48-year-old woman driving the Nissan was also taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital and was later discharged.

Road policing Sergeant Roddy MacMillan said: “We are still trying to establish the events that resulted in both vehicles colliding and ultimately led to the death of this young man.”
