Man in his sixties dies in cliff fall in the Highlands
Emergency services were called to an incident at Daill, near Durness, North West Sutherland, yesterday afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A man in his sixties had sustained injuries after a fall from a cliff. The alarm was raised by a member of the public who spotted the man.

Hide Ad“The Coastguard helicopter from Shetland attended the scene and transferred the man to Raigmore hospital, where sadly he succumbed to his injuries.”
He added: “There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and as with all sudden deaths a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The man’s identity will not be confirmed until next of kin are fully aware.”
