Man in critical condition following M90 crash

A man is in critical condition in hospital after a car crash on a motorway.

The red Peugeot 306 was on the southbound carriageway of the M90 near Bridge of Earn in Perthshire at around 8.35pm on Tuesday when the crash happened.

The 28-year-old driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where he is currently being treated.

One lane of the motorway was closed for about five hours while police investigated.

Inspector Greg Burns said: "A man has sustained serious injuries and we are appealing to anyone who may have any information relating to this crash.

"The M90 is a busy road and I would ask those who may have dashcam footage of the area to get in contact with officers.

"Police Scotland can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 2963 of Tuesday, 17 March, 2020."
