Major Scottish road shut in both directions due to lorry fire
The A9 has been shut in both directions due to a lorry fire.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on the A9 northbound about 4.35am on Thursday.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said three fire engines attended the scene.
The spokesperson said crews used three “hose reel jets” to extinguish the fire, which they said had started in one of the lorry’s tyres.
The spokesperson confirmed crews were stood down at 6.26am.
The road, remains closed with motorists urged to use different routes.

Hide AdA 13-mile diversion has been put in place, with drivers told traffic is likely to build up in the surrounding area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said there are no reported injuries.
A Traffic Scotland post read: “The A9 at Aviemore is currently closed in both directions due to a vehicle fire.
“Drivers are advised to use the available diversion route.”
