M9 crash: Police appeal after woman seriously injured near Falkirk

Police are appealing for information following a road crash near Falkirk which left a woman seriously injured in hospital.

The incident happened around 4.25pm yesterday, on the M9 at junction 7 Kinnaird, involving a white Honda motorcycle and a white box van.

Emergency services attended the scene and a 48-year-old man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 43-year-old woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries. Her condition is described as stable.

The road was closed for around 11 hours to allow a full collision investigation to take place.

Sergeant John Lang, of Police Scotland’s Forth Valley Road Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing to other road users who may have witnessed the crash to get in contact with police.

“I would ask if anyone was driving in the area at the time or has possible dashcam footage that could assist with our investigation that they get in touch with officers.”
