M9 crash: Major delays to traffic following accident on Scottish main road

An accident on the M9 is causing major delays to traffic.

The crash, involving one car, happened at about 8.30am this morning between J6 and 7 near Falkirk.

Lane 2 on the M9 is blocked and all lanes in the area are restricted eastbound causing long traffic delays.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

A police spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of a one-vehicle crash on the A9 at junction 7 at around 8.30am. No injuries have been reported at the moment.”

Traffic Scotland posted on their website: “The M9 Eastbound between Junction 7 and junction 6 is currently restricted due to a road traffic incident. Motorists are advised to use caution on approach and allow extra time for their journey.”
