M8 roadworks woe for drivers
Drivers using part of Scotland’s busiest motorway will face delays from Boxing Day because of major roadworks.
Work on the White Cart viaduct on the M8 will last until spring 2012, meaning lane and ramp closures.
Transport Scotland said the strengthening work was the third phase in a four-phase refurbishment programme.

Transport Scotland said the worst-case scenario was a one-hour delay at peak periods and asked drivers to plan their journeys accordingly.
