M8 death driver ‘may have been going wrong way’

A TEENAGER killed in a collision on the M8 may have been driving the wrong way on the eastbound carriageway.

The 19-year-old from Bathgate was driving a Fiat Stilo when he collided with a lorry about one mile east of Harthill at around 1am today.

Police say they have received reports that the car was travelling west on the eastbound carriageway.

One lane reopened around 6am, with the full carriageway reopened about 8.50am.
