M8 Crash: Man in hospital after being hit by van

A man has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a van on the M8.

The West Street onslip near the Kingston Bridge in Glasgow was blocked northbound, after the incident at around 10.05am today.

Officers are still on the scene and the road remains closed.

A police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Emergency services are in attendance following a crash between a van and a pedestrian on the M8 at the slip road near Kingston Bridge. One man, the pedestrian, has been taken to hospital."
