M74: Motorway closed as emergency services attend over turned lorry

Emergency services have closed a major Scottish motorway after a lorry has overturned.

Police Scotland were called to the incident around 2.50pm on Monday following the report of an overturned lorry on the M74 Northbound at junction 12.

Emergency services are currently in attendance and the carriageway is currently closed in both directions.

They added that there were no further details at this time.

Traffic Scotland are warning people to plan ahead if they are planning to travel along this route.
