Light aircraft crash in Dunkeld - reports

A PLANE has crashed in rural Perthshire, it has been reported.

A light aircraft is thought to have come down in an area near East Cult Farm at Dunkeld, according to The Courier.

Ambulance and fire crews are attending the scene, a spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said.

“We are currently en-route to an incident involving an aircraft at the moment,” they said.

“We were asked to attend by the ambulance service at around 4.30pm.

“The plane is understood to have come down five miles east of the River Tay at Snaigow.”

An eyewitness told the Courier that the aircraft had been “flying low in the direction of Murthly”.
