Liam Graham named as Abernethy Road crash victim

A MAN who died in a serious road collision on a Fife Road yesterday morning has been named by Police as Liam Graham.

The family of the 21-year-old, who died after sustaining serious injuries in the two-car crash, have released a statement through Police Scotland.

They said:“Liam lived in Newburgh with his fiancée Karen and their daughter Ashlyn, who turned one on Tuesday, and also Karen’s sons Ross and Lleyton and Liam’s two younger sisters Maia and Georgia.

“He moved to Scotland from his native Wakefield Yorkshire five years ago and had just set a wedding date with his fiancée on Valentine’s Day. They were planning their wedding for July 2016.

“He was a deeply loved and devoted Fiancé of Karen, very proud and adoring dad to Ashlyn, supportive step dad to the boys and loving brother to Maia and Georgia. He also leaves another four sisters and extended family members in Yorkshire and his in-laws Lynne and David, of Craigrothie.

“His loss has left them all devastated and they ask that they be given the peace and understanding to grieve at this very difficult time.”

Police in Fife are continuing their appeal for anyone who was in the area of Abernethy Road at around 6.55am yesterday morning, and who may have witnessed the collision, to contact Police Scotland on 101.
