Jet2 cancels all flights to mainland Spain


In a statement published on its social media channels, the company also said it would not be flying to parts of Croatia for the rest of the summer season.
It said: "Because of the ongoing uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the current UK government advice, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend all flights and holidays to Mainland Spain (affecting Alicante, Malaga and Barcelona) for the rest of Summer 2020.ÂŁ

Hide AdIt added: "We continue to urge the government to do more to help holidaymakers by implementing a targeted approach to travel advice, instead of the current blanket ban approach.
"We can assure our customers and partners across mainland Spain that we remain completely committed to these fantastic destinations.”
It said customers are affected would be offered the option to rebook with no admin fee, a refund credit note, or a full cash refund.
It emerged earlier that passengers arriving in Scotland from Portugal or French Polynesia will have to self-isolate for two weeks as of Saturday.
The Scottish Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf revealed the measures around an hour after the Welsh Government announced a 14-day quarantine rule for travellers from the European country and a number of Greek islands.
It follows an increase in positive coronavirus test results for Portugal, with cases rising and staying above 20 per 100,000.
