Hit-and-run driver charged with attempted murder

A MAN has been arrested and charged with attempted murder over an alleged hit-and-run.

A 20-year-old man suffered two broken legs in the incident in Tweed Street, Grangemouth, at about 4.30am on Saturday.

A 21-year-old man has now been arrested and is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court later today.

Detective Inspector Graeme Hendry said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank members of the public for their assistance with regards to this investigation.

“However, I’d again like to appeal to those who may have witnessed the incident, or indeed may have further information, to contact me on 101.”
