Forth Road Bridge closes temporarily with diversions in place

The Forth Road Bridge is temporarily closing today.

Diversions have been put in place while the bridge is closed-off between 8am and 4pm.

All lanes in both directions are closed and bus companies will be using alternative routes.

A spokesman for Stagecoach said: “The Forth Road Bridge will be closed (today) between 8am and 4pm and we're diverting via the Queensferry Crossing.

“Heading to/from North Queensferry? Please get on/off at Ferrytoll.

“Heading to/from South Queensferry? Please get on/off on Builyeon Rd by the BP garage.”

Traffic Scotland tweeted about the bridge closure to remind motorists in the area to use alternative routes.
