Flats evacuated after gas leak alert

Fire crews evacuated a five-storey block of flats yesterday following a carbon monoxide alert.

Alarms sounded in Barrland Street on Glasgow’s southside at around 2:30pm, where firefighters cleared out the flats but no-one was injured and residents later returned home.
