Five hurt in road accident on A9

Three ambulances took five people to hospital last night after a three-vehicle accident on the A9.

Emergency services attended at the Granish A9/A95 junction north of Aviemore just before 5pm.

The A9 was closed as fire and rescue personnel cut two people free from the wreckage of one vehicle.

Three further victims described as “walking wounded” were also taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
