Firefighters hurt battling flats blaze

TWO firefighters were injured and a man was treated in hospital following a blaze at a block of flats in Lanarkshire.

Emergency services were called to the flats at Blue Tower in Douglas at about 11:10pm on Thursday after the man reported being trapped. Four fire crews attended the blaze that had started in the kitchen of a ground-floor property.
