STUNNING aerial photographs of the 16 stops on the route of the Edinburgh tram have been released by the city council.

The shots show the various stops from the airport to the city centre that the tram will take as it moves in from the city’s outskirts.

The tram moves from the airport through the west end of the city via the Gyle and the Edinburgh Park development, before heading past Murrayfield Stadium. The tram will then head along Princes Street after stopping at Haymarekt.

Trams are currently undergoing test runs on the tracks, with the long-delayed project finally nearing a conclusion.
