Edinburgh to Glasgow disruption: ScotRail announce cancellation and delays on major route

ScotRail have announced that signal failures will be causing disruption on the line between Glasgow and Edinburgh route via Falkirk.

In an early morning report, the transport provider said: “Services between Queen Street and Alloa, Anniesland via Maryhill, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness will be delayed or revised.

“Services between Queen Street and Edinburgh via Falkirk Grahamston will be cancelled, delayed or revised.”

Anybody travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh can take an alternative route.

Services between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts running as scheduled as are services between Queen Street low level via Airdrie and Bathgate.

Engineers are on site at Glasgow Queen Street and have fixed the problem, but delays, revisions and cancellations still expected.
