Edinburgh pensioner badly injured in crash
The Ford Fiesta struck the 74-year-old as it moved away from traffic lights at the junction of Charlotte Square and Rose Street in Edinburgh last night.
The pedestrian sustained several injuries and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Hide AdPolice have appealed for information about the collision, which happened at around 7.30pm.
They would also like to speak to the driver of a green BMW which was at the scene.
Sergeant Ross Drummond said: “We are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and help with police inquiries.
“We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of the green BMW, who was present at the same lights when the incident took place.
“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
