Chambers calls for airport tax change

THE Scottish Chambers of Commerce has waded into the debate over air passenger duty (APD), calling for it to be devolved to boost Scotland’s tourism industry and connectivity to the rest of the world.

Garry Clark, head of policy at the lobby group, said: “The absence of APD from the taxes to be devolved through the Scotland Bill is a major omission which must be remedied sooner rather than later.”
