Aston Martin flown in jet from Glasgow to Cyprus

AN Aston Martin was flown almost 6,000 miles on board a Boeing jet from the UK to Cyprus as a birthday surprise.

Emirates airline said it received the unusual cargo in Glasgow and safely delivered the black Cygnet model 48 hours later.

The car, understood to be a birthday gift, traveled via Dubai on a 777 plane.

Phil Rawlings, from Emirates SkyCargo, said: “It’s the first time a car has flown on our Glasgow flight. The Cygnet certainly stood out at our warehouse.”
