Airport clears bag confusion

Edinburgh Airport has launched a summer campaign to dispel the myths surrounding cabin baggage after research showed almost 40 per cent of passengers were unsure of hand luggage rules.

Passengers can take a bag of shopping onboard in addition to their hand luggage on all airlines, with the exception of Ryanair which operates a strict one piece of hand luggage policy.

Airport chief executive Jim O’Sullivan said: “Over half of our passengers are travelling with just hand luggage but many are unsure on the rules on how many bags they can take.”
