Air Transat announces resumption of Glasgow-Toronto flights from 26 July
Flights between Scotland and Canada are to take off again next month, Montreal-based Air Transat has announced.

Hide AdTwice-weekly services between Glasgow and Toronto will resume from 26 July.
The airline is also reinstating its Gatwick and Manchester routes to the Canadian city.
They are due to continue until the end of October.
Transat said flights would resume “provided the travel restrictions applicable on that date allow it”.
The first transatlantic flights from Edinburgh are scheduled to be Delta resuming its route to New York on 1 August.
It plans to operate to JFK airport daily.
Air Transat chief operating officer Annick Guérard said: “After these long months that put the entire tourism industry to the test, we are very happy to announce the resumption of our operations.
“We will gradually operate a flight schedule with 23 international routes to Europe, the South and the United States, in addition to a domestic flight schedule between major Canadian cities.
“To address the concerns caused by Covid-19 and to prioritise the safety of our customers and employees, we will be implementing new health measures as part of our ‘Traveller Care’ programme.
“In compliance with the recommendations and requirements of regulatory authorities, these measures will accompany our travellers throughout their travel experience, from the travel agency to the airport to on board to the destination.”

Hide AdTraveller Care involves passengers being asked health questions, surfaces being regularly disinfected, with passengers being given a free face covering which they must wear, gloves, hand sanitiser and disinfecting wipes.
