A pedestrian has been killed after a collision with a car on the A96 between Keith and Huntly.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.30am on Monday, 17 August, Road Policing officers were called to the A96 between Keith and Huntly, following a crash involving a Mini Cooper and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and the road remains closed as the investigation into the circumstances continues.
“Local diversions are in place."
Motorists are advised to plan extra time for any journey that takes them through this area.
