A92: Woman and man taken to hospital after a serious road crash near Dundee

A male driver and a female passenger were taken to hospital after sustaining injuries in a serious road crash near Dundee.

Police are appealing for information after the crash that took place on the A92 southbound, at the Forgan roundabout at around 11.40am on Saturday, December 18.

The incident involved one car.

The 26-year-old male driver was taken to Ninewells Hospitalin Dundee as a precaution.

The 34-year-old female passenger sustained a serious hand injury and was also taken to hospital.

The road was closed for around five hours for an investigation at the scene and re-opened around 5.10pm.

Sergeant Michelle Burns, of Glenrothes Road Policing Unit, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this crash and would urge anyone with information to come forward.”

The police are specifically looking for people who may have dashcam footage of the crash.
