A1 Tornado: Watch as Tornado steam train leaves Edinburgh’s Waverley Station

The iconic train travelled to Edinburgh from the North of England.

The iconic steam train, the A1 Tornado, has been filmed as it sets off from Edinburgh’s Waverley station.

It was captured by 13-year-old Finn Storstein.

The train is a Peppercorn Class A1 steam engine, and was given life in Darlington in 2008.

It now regularly tours around the United Kingdom.

On Saturday, it arrived in Edinburgh, going through Haymarket at 2.07 pm where it was captured by Livia Marchant, who tweeted the video.

The train left Waverley at 5.33 pm to return to York.
