Trainee takes centre Stage

A TALENTED trainee from Edinburgh College has landed a prestigious award.

Scott Stage, 22, who studies HNC measurement and control engineering, beat off stiff competition from students across the UK to win industry body OPITO’s Apprentice of the Year award.

Scott is the fourth consecutive Edinburgh College student to win, following Fergus Stewart, Sarah Coull – the first woman to win the title – and Mark Wigginton.
