Train ticket website set to open new office in Capital

THE UK's leading independent train ticket website is to open a new office in the Capital.

Thetrainline.com is to move into the ground floor of the Tanfield development on Inverleith Row - the former headquarters of Standard Life - after signing a 10-year lease.

It will become the second tenant in the office, after Aecom moved in last year.

It is expected to move into the office next month following a fit-out of its 12,000 square feet of space.

The company is relocating from its existing base on Princes Street.

It is a boost to office owner The Carlyle Group, which carried out a 20 million refurbishment of the premises that included a new glass roof and atrium.

Bill Hopkins, director of the trainline.com said: "The move to Tanfield is a reflection of the growth of our business. We are excited to be moving to one of the city's most sought after developments and are confident that a better location will enable us to offer an improved quality of service."
